Cascades

Basic Game Play

  • You play a weekly card, covering sporting events Tuesday through the following Monday. The events come from NFL, NCAAF, NBA, NCAAM, MLB, MLS, NHL, NASCAR, PGA, Tennis (M & W), and MMA (M & W).
  • You pick a minimum of 10 events. You can pick up to 25 events each week. One credit per pick. You may play multiple cards for any given week.
  • For each event, you pick A)the winner (or a tie), and; B)the Over/Under for the event. See each Sport below for specific Over/Under scoring.
  • For any group, there are 4 pools available to win each week:
    1. most correct Picks;
    2. closest to a 0 differential, Over/Under;
    3. Major Falls, which is the winning picks card and a winning Over/Under card, and;
    4. the Grand Cascade, which is the winning picks and a perfect 0 Over/Under card.
  • The risk/strategy: the more picks you play, the better your chance of getting the most correct; but the harder it is to get a winning or perfect 0 Over/Under. The more cards you play, the better your chance of winning either the Picks or Over/Under on each card.
  • There will be a winner every week for the Picks and the Over/Under. The Cascade pools turn over every week until someone wins.
  • You can buy in to a card at anytime each week, but events that have started will be locked out. Once there are less than 10 events remaining open, the game is closed.
  • There are no refunds. Once you have purchased credits, they remain in your account until you play them.

Picks Rules

  • For each event, correctly pick Winner or Tie between contestants.
  • The most correct picks wins the pool.
  • In the event there is more than one person with the top score, the pool prize goes to the earliest time-stamp. Every time a person places their picks, or edits their pick(s), their time-stamp is updated.
  • The Picks Pool is worth 58% of total credits played each week.

Over/Under Rules

  • For each event you pick, guess the total Over/Under as posted at ESPN for the event.
  • The goal is to be closest to a “0” differential for all combined picks.
  • In the event there is more than one person with the closest differential, or 0, the pool prize goes to the earliest time-stamp. Every time a person places their pick(s), or edits their pick(s), their time-stamp is updated.
  • The Over/Under Pool is worth 28% of the total credits played each week.

Cascades Rules

  • The Cascade Pools are “communal”, each pool draws 2% of the total credits played each week by every group, public or private. They roll over every week until someone produces a winning Picks card and a winning or perfect Over/Under card from the same week.
  • A person with multiple cards can win a Cascade Pool; the games do not have to be from the same card, but must be from within one group, public or private, and by the same person winning on separate cards.
  • Cascade Pools are split evenly if there is more than one winner for either Major Falls or Grand Cascade.
